To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first human in space, the Queensland Conservatoire Wind Orchestra will present a concert featuring music from across the globe with Nigel Clarke’s Gagarin featured as its centre piece. New music from Bulgaria, Brazil, Spain and the USA will take the audience on a non-stop journey around the world. The concert will take place on 25 May 2011 in the Conservatorium Theatre, Griffith University on the South Bank, Brisbane. The concert is to be conducted by the renown Australian composer Ralph Hultgren.
