Peter Sheppard Skaerved recorded the second volume of solo violin and viola miniatures from Nigel Clarke’s Brueg[h]el’s Brush. Nigel’s composition comprises 25 movements (Volumes 1 & 2) and is part of an ongoing collaboration between the Royal Museums of Fine Arts Belgium (RMFAB) and violin/viola soloist Peter Sheppard Skaerved.

All the miniatures are inspired by paintings by the Brueghel family exhibited at the RMFAB; Nigel has been composing work inspired by the Bruegels for the past three years. The culmination of this project will see the release of Brueg[h]el’s Brush on the Metier Record Label in late autumn this year. The recording engineer for this project is Adam Khan.
